The leadership team at SRG Global Engineering & Tooling in Troy, Michigan is searching for an experienced leader with a passion for customer focus and creating value through continuous improvement in new product launch.  The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge sought below but, of equal importance, he or she will be self motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be a creative thinker. This is a “hands-on” management position that will work across the organization in a competitive atmosphere. Working and effectively leading new product launch flawlessly and interfacing with cross-functional teams at corporate and plant levels is crucial for success.


This position will be home based at the SRG Global World Headquarters building in Troy, Michigan with high amounts of travel at multiple North America based Ford manufacturing plants.


  • Lead the flawless launch process at Ford customer assembly plants and NMPDC in Dearborn
    • Lead flawless launch team at Ford manufacturing plant, provide real time engineering and design support, issue containment actions, and knowledge transfer during pre-production build events and MP1.
    • Coach and mentor the flawless launch vision to the team so they understand their roles in creating value in flawless launch execution.
    • Accountable for customer focus at all levels of the launch for customer working relationships and seek feedback / challenges to drive profitable actions and value creation.
    • A leader that will drive a philosophy that part one is job one, can articulate the voice of the customer and quickly determine range of possible outcomes with build issues and containment.
    • Develop and empower individuals at all levels to identify and seek personal improvement, evaluate talent, skills and virtue of employees for the right positions in the organization.
  • Develop a flawless launch dashboard to identify weaknesses and implement continuous improvement.
  • A servant leader that will hold himself/herself and others accountable.
  • Embrace change and lead standardization and best practice implementations from launch lessons learned with engineering, tooling, gauge engineering, program management, launch coordinators, and others to develop a process of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to do their ‘work’ in the Ford AIMS system, managing the customer through the management of issues using the AIMS system as a containment tool.

  • A servant leader that can demonstrate on a consistent basis the MBM Guiding Principles and humility/discipline, striving to achieve constant personal improvement.
  • Virtue and talent to lead his/her team to full potential using MBM Guiding Principles and Framework.
  • Accountable for YOY improvement in customer launch ratings
  • Candidates should have 5-7 years experience as a leader in engineering, development, program management, and engineering in an automotive environment and/or preferable decorative exterior trim Tier I position.
    • Strong motivation and history to develop personnel to full potential.
    • Promote and drive improvements in internal and/or external flawless launch processes and systems.
  • Candidate should also have a proven track record as an onsite launch leader at OEM manufacturing plants (preferably Ford).
  • Proficient knowledge of the Ford AIMS system.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or Manager.
  • Six sigma black belt experience and knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding, plating, painting, assembly, part design, and tooling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Strong computer and problem-solving skills a must.

  • Working knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 quality system and ISO 17025 calibration systems.
  • BS in Engineering or other technical degree required.
