Responsibilities

The Pull Systems Coordinator is responsible for providing a clear direction for both repetitive and non-repetitive Kanban through visual controls and effective management of inventory levels while having a passion for customer focus and creating value through continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge, be self- motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be a creative thinker. This is a “hands-on” position that will work across the organization in a competitive atmosphere.

 

  • Design & implementation of Kanban system for all programs, able to meet customer requirements in the most efficient way using the standard model and quoting data
  • Update Kanban for current programs as required; understand customer needs vs system capabilities to adapt in advance with temporary or definitive countermeasures (i.e. review and analyze 12 week forecast to identify changes not absorbed by normal Kanban pattern
  • Implement a visual pull system to send the signals on time to produce with respect to the authorization procedures established
  • Measure delivery and output performance against established targeted inventory levels
  • Send priority signals through production in a way that is aligned with the Kanban visual system
  • Design & Print Kanban cards; design & Install Kanban boards, stands, and card holders
  • Provide timely feedback to Customer Service of product mix changes that might impact delivery to customer; recalculate lot sizes and total number of Kanban’s as required to sustain an optimum and sustainable Kanban rhythm
  • Establish and maintain KPI’s and Key Objectives that are clearly posted and updated regularly
  • Benchmark World Class facilities in the development of our systems
  • Provide support on a timely basis so that operations can make appropriate decisions
  • Help scheduling team to make best production decisions by having an overall view

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Production Control/Industrial Technology or related field preferred. Excellent computer skills including solid familiarity with MS Office products.

 

Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong computer and problem-solving skills a must. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedures and processes. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.

The employee is frequently required to stand and walk, use hands to finger dexterity, handle and feel, reach with arms and hands, and talk and hear.

The employee may be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch when on the production floor.

Work environment may include an office environment and working on the manufacturing production floor. Noise levels are moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those employees may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Working conditions in some areas require that personal protective equipment be worn including but not limited to steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, and gloves. All employees of SRG are expected to comply with the safety policies.
