    Assistant Quality Manager



    Play a key role in the business operations reporting directly to the Quality Manager with oversight and leadership for the Quality Team. The successful candidate will have a committed customer focus while maintaining integrity and compliance standards.


    Major Duties and Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage Quality Team including dimensional lab, test lab and quality technicians.
    • Collect and analyze data with regard to internal rejections, receiving inspection results, supplier performance
    • Lead, Train, and Facilitate Quality Activities
    • Support New Product Launch
    • Manage Core Quality Tools described in APQP
    • Drive PFMEA reviews / actions
    • Statistical Analysis of product / processes
    • Problem Solving Tools and Techniques (Six Sigma, 8D, A3)
    • Interfaces with customers with respect to Quality related issues
    • Manage IATF16949 system requirements
    • Partner with Operations Team in developing key strategies to improve overall success

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand or walk on concrete floor for 8+ hours; lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
    • Requires hand, arm, back, and leg strength; Also bending and squatting ability
    • Must have eye, foot, and hand coordination, and be able to do repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor manipulation
    • Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures & perform work indoors / outdoors as needed






    • Automotive Manufacturing Experience (Injection Mold Experience Preferred)
    • Minimum 7 years of Quality related experience
    • Previous Management experience coaching and developing team members
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Proficiency in and the ability to model and implement a wide variety of LEAN methodologies
    • Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to lead organizational change and employ an environment of continuous improvement
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality or related field
