    Automotive Sales Engineer (Invista)

    INVISTA is a sister company of SRG Global.  This role will report up to INVISTA, but will sit in in the SRG Global office loacted in Troy, MI. INVISTA is the owner of STAINMASTER®, LYCRA®, COOLMAX® and CORDURA® brands and is a subsidiary of Koch Industries, Inc., which is one of the largest private companies in America with estimated annual revenues as high as $115 billion, according to Forbes.     The Sales Engineer will be based at the SRG Global headquarter location in Troy, Michigan.  SRG Global is also a subsidiary of Koch Industries.  The Senior Sales Engineer will collaborate with the SRG sales team by making joint calls on existing SRG customers and identifying new prospects through existing / new relationships. 
     
    You must reside in the Greater Detroit Metropolitan area or be willing to relocate.  Working remotely is not an option for this position.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities & Expectations:

    • Identify key decision makers at OEM’s (interior design, airbag engineers, purchasing, environmental managers, and other relevant functions); develop relationships and networks at OEM’s to sell the value of INVISTA innovations and create pull across the supply chain.
    • Create proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations (create new sales and marketing strategies that target B2B customers; position our products as the best solutions for prospective clients)
    • Design interactions and develop sales pitches according to audience to drive adoption and enable learning maximization (collection of market insights and value capture mechanisms).
    • Identify opportunities for creating value through different business models.
    • Own the technical interface with the OEM’s and support interactions with Tier 1’s.
    • Support commercial leadership in developing segmentation and account strategies.
    • Support the business teams in determining the value of the technology in support of pricing and business strategies.
    • Support the development of innovations and market experiments

    Qualifications

     

     Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum of 5 years of product specification / technical sales experience in the automotive industry
    • Comprehensive understanding of development, procurement and qualification processes
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience interacting with OEM’s on a technical, program management and / or commercial basis
    • Ability to travel locally up to 50% and internationally up to20%

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years of Full Product Life Cycle experience in the automotive industry
    • MBA
    • Automotive safety systems experience
    • Proficient in at least (1) of the following:  SAP, SalesForce.com, or PowerBI
