    Product Engineer Liason for Germany



    The purpose of this position is to add experienced and capable engineering resource in SRG Global Munich to support SRG Global Development Centers as a liaison engineer to BMW. The successful candidate will be responsible for:


    1. Provide onsite engineering support for each SRG division at BMW to ensure successful launch of SRG programs.
    2. Attend and provide direction and support at customer SE-Team meetings 
    3. Assist Divisional Engineers with timing plans, engineering releases, and issues management
    4. Ensure that the milestones of the Design phase are achieved with high quality CAD data and messplan
    5. Support Cubing events.
    6. Support build phases at customer’s assembly plants, attend start up meetings and manage locally build issues 
    7. Provide additional resource to management of DVP and dimensional reporting
    8. Produce and maintain commodity based open issues decks, factory metrics and issue weekly to senior management
    9. Provide single point contact to Program based customer Engineers
    10. Support Sales through Engineering company strategy by:
      • Promote at Customer Engineering Dept. the SRG Advance Development.
      • Get direct access to Customer Engineering to get the best knowledge of and influence the customer’s engineering strategy and how this impacts SRG.
      • Get access to customer Design Studio in order to advance and influence customer design strategy.
      • Promote SRG and Best in Class supplier at the Customer Engineering Department.
      • Support pre-sourcing Technical Review at customer together with Divisional Engineers and KAMs.
      • Continue supporting the programs after SRG nomination in order to secure the hand over to the divisional engineers and project team.
    11. Support Program Management in different areas:
      • Gathering all pertinent documentation from the customer regarding the part and the program. Obtain first hand communication.
      • Help coordinating the management of the initial samples and/or prototypes.
      • Replace, when there is an urgency, the other program team members.
      • Follow up the different customer departments and be persistent to collect all information needed from them.
      • Possibility of immediate analysis of problems over the real affected parts before and during the car builds.
      • Attendance to the validation of technical proposals / solutions or any fine-tuning presentation.
      • Improvement of the communication with the customer.
      • Speed up the process of approval of reworks and deviations
      • Speed up the process of decision making


    • 4 Year degree, preferably in a technical field
    • 5 Years automotive experience, preferably with Product Design & development and Launch experience
    • Experience and knowledge of exterior and interior trim
    • BMW as OEM experience and operating knowledge a plus, particularly knowledge of customer´s operating system (PRISMA, IPQ...) and program management system.
    • English and German Proficiency
    • This role will report to SRG Global Europe Customer Engineering Manager
