    The Process Engineer Plastic Injection Molding will be performing ground-level development for all PIM processes as our rapidly-growing manufacturing facility introduces new product lines. The process engineer will set machine parameters to build up PIM process. Will require travel to our PIM Machine manufacturers as well as to SRG Global's Advanced Technology Center in the Detroit area. This is a great opportunity to become a key member of one of our fastest-growing manufacturing plants.

    • Maintain a positive and safe working environment – discuss weekly 7 Minute Trainer
    • Maintain 6S Standards, shift scrap goals, tool change goals and OEE goals
    • Complete yield improvement projects as assigned or needed
    • Participate in design review meetings on new awarded tooling and provide needed feedback to corporate tooling team
    • Participate in mold flow reviews and provide detailed analysis solutions to potential processing concerns
    • Participate in tooling trials on new molds documenting the Launch Procedure and providing the feedback or solutions needed for the corporate tooling team and tool shop to provide the best mold possible for the Morehead plant to have a mold that is capable of high yields
    • Create processes for incoming molds
    • Responsible for following all environmental policies, procedures, work instructions and requirements applicable to his or her work, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
    • Responsible for immediately reporting to management all environmental concerns related to work being carried out, as well as, all incidents, which present a hazard to people, production, or the environment.
    • Create new process books for new and incoming jobs
    • Train, Mentor and coach all technicians on all technical skills
    • Coordinate tool changes & shift priorities
    • Maintain uptime of all presses scheduled
    • Answer press calls for downtime, scrap and tool cleanings
    • Complete tool change set ups as needed

    BS in Engineering preferred; at least five years in a production management role or equivalent in a production management role or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


    Mathematical skills:  Ability to calculate simple mathematical equations.


    Reasoning ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
