    Waste Water Technician



    Purpose:  Monitor Plating Line Waste Water Treatment.


    Major Duties and Job Responsibilities:

    • Ability to monitor and control wastewater treatment system according to pretreatment permit and internal best practice requirements.
    • Responsible for preventive maintenance of wastewater treatment system including calibration of pH and ORP probes.
    • Responsible for record keeping of wastewater treatment system.
    • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining chemical addition systems.
    • Responsible for hazardous waste handling and signing manifests according to Hazardous Material and DOT regulations.
    • Responsible for maintaining filter press and various pumps.
    • Basic knowledge for treating plating chemicals.
    • Maintain clear line of communication with plating team.
    • Maintain safety and 5S standards of work area.




    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand or walk on concrete floor for 8-12+ hours; lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
    • Requires hand, arm, back, and leg strength; Also bending and squatting ability
    • Must have eye, foot, and hand coordination, and be able to do repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor manipulation
    • Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures & perform work indoors / outdoors as needed
    • Must have regular and predictable attendance
